Yesterday.
Yesterday was possible the most blog worthy day I've had in a long while. The first event was in Government. We all know that Mendive clearly hates me and Konstantin the most of 4th period. Anyhow, yesterday, like always, we had an ungodly amount of extra time in which we were expected to do the study guide. Yeah right. Konstantin and I decided to talk for most of the period. We were yelled at least 6 times. Finally, I decided I would read The Brothers Karamazov instead. I whispered over to Konstantin, "OH!!! Dmitri was convicted...!!! Damn!" Then I kept reading, and Mr.Mendive told me to put away Brothers K in favour of the Government book or something "worthwhile". Oh... That's it, that bitch was asking to get cut. I told him Brothers K was certainly worthwhile, I was learning about the Russian judicial system. Konstantin adds, "apparently Dmitri was just convicted and she is a little upset". To that, Fedya uttered a groan, "Nooooo!". Oops... Turns out, Fedya is only on page 200 something, and Konstantin gave away the climax of the book. Then Konstantin couldn't stop laughing until the class was over. Hella.
2nd note worthy event took place after school. I was walking to take the bus (ugh) and I decided to get coffee. The guy at the coffee shop and I have a bond, which is Russian literature. Everytime I go in, we discuss Dostoevsky, or Solynitsyn (spl.?). Yesterday, he ignored a bunch of customers just to tell me about how his Professor in college read Solhnytsin in Russian and wrote back and forth with the man. Next, I was walking down the street with my coffee, and some guy randomly started talking to me. It went like this... (Please imagine he is rambling on super fast and in a thick New York accent.)
New Yorker: I swear, the thing about you people in Boise is that you all walk around with a cup of coffee, whats up with that? I went to Starbucks the other day, and *shudders*, I can't drink that stuff. Ya know, I've got an $1000 dollar expresso machine in my house. Grinds the beans right there, and bam, espresso. One or two cups of that in the morning and I don't need anything else. So, you know any good places to get coffee around here?
Me: Erm... I usually go to the Flying M...
New Yorker: Eh yeah, ok. So what do you do, study in the university or something?
Me: I should be in college, but I'm still in highschool.
New Yorker: Went on exchange are somethin'?
Me: yeah
New Yorker: Where?
Me: Chile
New Yorker: South America! Yeah, that's close to Peru. You go to Machu Pichu? I have a friend who went there once. They say they have good peaches in Chile, that true? Yeah Chile's that long skinny one on the side likes this *makes hand motion*, nice nice.
Then I had to go, and it ended like this,
New Yorker: Nice talkin' to ya
Me: yeah...
OK, so how fucking cool is that?
Later, I went to the hookah bar. Its in a great local... right behind a 7-11 and next to a bar and a a little place called "Exotic City". WOW. So this hookah bar pretty much played the big butt song, tons of Nelly, with the occasional emo song and had carpet on the wall, and wood print cushions. WTF? Konstantin and I got apple flavoured tobacco, and smoked us a hookah. A lesbian with a cockney accent helped us get it started. Then we smoked, and took tons of pictures, we felt sort of lame. The rest of the night was me hanging out Konstantin's window and feeling like I was going to vomit.
Not to mention my mother and family drinking a bit too much at The Reef in dinner before hand. I was given the liberty of finishing off my sister's vodka and tonic, and my mothers wine. yum. Waste not want not.
Good Day yesterday
<3
