The Human Lamprey

So.

I did end up going salsa dancing with Fedya. Actually, I suprised myself. I had never done the turns so well before. I atribute it to the fact that he leads well... or maybe that I've done the lessons many many times, and it finally clicked. Unfortunately we missed the costume memo... so everyone else was decked out in a array of sluttery such as we could not compete with in our casual wear. AND YAY... I sang and danced to reggaeton! They played some good ones RAKATA!!! Lo que paso paso! etc.

We talked a lot about salmon and National Geographic. Akward silence? No problem, just say, "Salmon is delicious" or, "Once I read this article in National Geographic about..."

We stayed until it closed. wow. Then I was whisked to my home.

THE END... or was it

Yesterday.

Yesterday was possible the most blog worthy day I've had in a long while. The first event was in Government. We all know that Mendive clearly hates me and Konstantin the most of 4th period. Anyhow, yesterday, like always, we had an ungodly amount of extra time in which we were expected to do the study guide. Yeah right. Konstantin and I decided to talk for most of the period. We were yelled at least 6 times. Finally, I decided I would read The Brothers Karamazov instead. I whispered over to Konstantin, "OH!!! Dmitri was convicted...!!! Damn!" Then I kept reading, and Mr.Mendive told me to put away Brothers K in favour of the Government book or something "worthwhile". Oh... That's it, that bitch was asking to get cut. I told him Brothers K was certainly worthwhile, I was learning about the Russian judicial system. Konstantin adds, "apparently Dmitri was just convicted and she is a little upset". To that, Fedya uttered a groan, "Nooooo!". Oops... Turns out, Fedya is only on page 200 something, and Konstantin gave away the climax of the book. Then Konstantin couldn't stop laughing until the class was over. Hella.

2nd note worthy event took place after school. I was walking to take the bus (ugh) and I decided to get coffee. The guy at the coffee shop and I have a bond, which is Russian literature. Everytime I go in, we discuss Dostoevsky, or Solynitsyn (spl.?). Yesterday, he ignored a bunch of customers just to tell me about how his Professor in college read Solhnytsin in Russian and wrote back and forth with the man. Next, I was walking down the street with my coffee, and some guy randomly started talking to me. It went like this... (Please imagine he is rambling on super fast and in a thick New York accent.)

New Yorker: I swear, the thing about you people in Boise is that you all walk around with a cup of coffee, whats up with that? I went to Starbucks the other day, and *shudders*, I can't drink that stuff. Ya know, I've got an $1000 dollar expresso machine in my house. Grinds the beans right there, and bam, espresso. One or two cups of that in the morning and I don't need anything else. So, you know any good places to get coffee around here?

Me: Erm... I usually go to the Flying M...

New Yorker: Eh yeah, ok. So what do you do, study in the university or something?

Me: I should be in college, but I'm still in highschool.

New Yorker: Went on exchange are somethin'?

Me: yeah

New Yorker: Where?

Me: Chile

New Yorker: South America! Yeah, that's close to Peru. You go to Machu Pichu? I have a friend who went there once. They say they have good peaches in Chile, that true? Yeah Chile's that long skinny one on the side likes this *makes hand motion*, nice nice.

Then I had to go, and it ended like this,

New Yorker: Nice talkin' to ya

Me: yeah...

OK, so how fucking cool is that?

Later, I went to the hookah bar. Its in a great local... right behind a 7-11 and next to a bar and a a little place called "Exotic City". WOW. So this hookah bar pretty much played the big butt song, tons of Nelly, with the occasional emo song and had carpet on the wall, and wood print cushions. WTF? Konstantin and I got apple flavoured tobacco, and smoked us a hookah. A lesbian with a cockney accent helped us get it started. Then we smoked, and took tons of pictures, we felt sort of lame. The rest of the night was me hanging out Konstantin's window and feeling like I was going to vomit.

Not to mention my mother and family drinking a bit too much at The Reef in dinner before hand. I was given the liberty of finishing off my sister's vodka and tonic, and my mothers wine. yum. Waste not want not.

Good Day yesterday

Aleksandra the Brave

I braved the harsh social climate, to ask Fedya to coffee, after the unfortunately akward occurances yesterday. It won't be any less akward, but at least I feel less bitchy.

My darling Konstantin wasn't at school today. A shame really... Whom else can i hold hands with and give long hugs to?

I turned in my Dante paper... its horrid

Kip's little brother knows my name. WTF?

I have a fizika quiz tomorrow.

I need to choose a country to be from for Tinka's party

That was my life in a nutshell

Dance off with the Q-Tip

English is my favorite class hands down. First, we had to turn in the rough draft of a sort of big paper. She reminded us to write Mrs at the top. not Sarah, not Quincy, and NOT Q-TIP!.. Then she explained some student called her Q-Tip yesterday. Then, Solberg or what ever the hell her name is came in wearing sparkly red gogo boots in honor of spirit day. Quilici had on some nice red airwalks. They entered into a verbal battle about whose shoes were more spirit.

Solberg: I believe we call the color of your shoes, maroon, not RED
Class: oooh, Mrs.Quilici, you're not going to take that are you?
Quilici: I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DANCE OFF TOMORROW AT HOMECOMING!!!
Class: YEAAAAAH QUILICI!
Konstantin: your beatboy name can be Q-tip!
Class: Yeaaaaaah Q-TIP!!

Then Solberg canceled... I guess she fears the Q-Tip's mad skillz. So Vassily challenged Quilici instead.

Vassily: I challenge you then!!
Quilici: I think not...What would we dance to?
*silence in the room*
Then Andrei sang a line from a Justin Timberlake song... Perfectly. He sounded like JT himself. And it was odd, especially considering Andrei, and his usual silence, his angst, etc etc. Quilici turned around and looked at him questioningly, "Andrei?" and he just shrugged, with a completely straight face... Meanwhile the rest of the class began to laugh so hard we had tears in our eyes. Oh man... Love that English class.

Yeaaah. But anyhow, homecoming game tonight, and I didn't go. Dance tomorrow, and IM not going. Hurrah for spirit! (I did however scream my loudest in the spirit stick competition, then I bit Vassily!!)

Alcohol is BAD???

So then... WE all go to play fugitive all the time. I thought I might make it a little more interesting on last Wednesday by having a bit of a pick me up before hand, if you know what I mean... So i showed up a little tipsy, and It was awesome, Until I had to run from BHS to Lowell. A girl i was running with twisted her ankle. We got her picked up and ran on.

When We finally go to Lowell, Yuri decided he wanted to run, and thus told me to drive his car. I warned him that I didn't have a license, but he didn't seem to care. Luckily, it turned out that I didn't drive, I think that is all for the better. Then I frolicked with Sonya, another girl from College. Along the way we picked up Taggert. teehee. Taggert was on his way to drop off money at his clarinet teachers house. But he ended up coming with us, and skipping. He is a fine young man that Taggert. It was like a really weird drug induced dream... The whole night.

Many people asked Konstantin and I if we are an item. To that question, Konstantin would look at me coyly, and then back at the other person. I suppose it might be an easily perceived thing, seeing as we are often holding hands, everywhere we go. Its just, I'm sooo full of affection for that lovely Konstantin.

That evening I had yet another dream about Vassily. He is in all of my dreams of late. Odd, without a doubt.

Homecoming grows yet closer... The cemetary is in prime piqniking condition.

Drugs Bring People Together

Today was substandard, boring, draining, and all together not that fabulous. However there were a few redeeming factors that saved it from complete dreariness. First of all, I brought an apple that I sliced up in the morning. It was really yummy, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Then, in government, Fyodor held up a a piece of paper that said, "What's the Capital of Oman?"
and I held up my notebook in which I had scrawled "Muscat". Then I asked what the capital of Georgia (the Country) was and he correctly answered Tbilisi. Mr.Mendive Apparently saw the sign, because at the end of the "tertulia" he asked the class what the capital of Georgia was, and then started talking about Georgia, much to my delight.

Lastly, in physics, after being bored to the point of a pounding headache, the last high point of my day happened. Hair boy, who i briefly alluded to once as having similar hair to that of Sir Ass, asked to give me a survey. I was a little ticked off I admit, as I had just packed up all my things to leave. But, he had a pencil ready, so I decided to take it. It happened to be a survey about hallucinogen use. Erm. The class was trying to figure out if their was a certain profile for hallucinogen users. The first question, "Have you ever used a hallucinogen, if so, which?" I, of course, answered no. Then, "What type of music do you usually listen to?" I answered, classical and reaction, >.< Next it asked if I smoked on weekends, and I answered yes. The next question was, "what drugs have you tried?" I asked hair boy if the survey was completely anonymous, and he assured me it was. So, I answered that i had tried vicodin, cocaine, oxycotin, and mary j.

So that lead us into a conversation about why I smoked etc. I explained the Chile story, and laughed and said they he started smoking on his exchange to Australia. We got to talk about how horrible our host families were. Then we talked about oxy, and how I recieved it as a secret santa gift. He followed me to my locker, and we chated a bit more, Until his friend came up. He ssaid we should hang out sometime. Crazy BHS drugos. But like i said, drugs bring people together.
